The Mercedes Benz AMG GTR is a high-performance, track-focused evolution of the Mercedes-AMG GT sports car. It represents the moment Mercedes stopped trying to build a "nice" luxury grand tourer and instead built a legitimate, track-focused supercar.

It is known as the “Beast of the Green Hell” as the car was developed almost entirely on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (nicknamed the "Green Hell" by Jackie Stewart). Its signature launch color, AMG Green Hell Magno, serves as a permanent reminder of its DNA. At the time of its release, it set a blistering lap time of 7:10.92, making it one of the fastest rear-wheel-drive production cars ever tested there.

It features active aerodynamics, rear-axle steering, extensive carbon fiber and is powered by a 4.0l 577 BHP twin turbo V8 with a titanium exhaust producing a thunderous sound. The GT R is special because it’s a "dual-purpose" weapon. It’s civil enough to drive to the track, yet aggressive enough to set lap records once you get there.

This AMG GTR is a 2019 example finished in Crystal Digenit Blue Metallic (a Mclaren SLR colour) with Black leather and contrasting grey stitching. It currently has striking forged carbon wrap and has just returned from a major service including new spark plugs and brake pads with a quality check carried out at the same time
