The Ferrari 512M is regarded as the ultimate Testarossa and the “Swan Song” of the Testarossa series. Only 501 units were produced with the goal being to improve driving dynamics and power output. Improved engine performance was achieved by fitting a lighter crankshaft and titanium connecting rods increasing power to 440 BHP, 55 BHP more than the Testarossa (385 BHP) and 12 BHP over the 512 TR

It is the most usable, the fastest and the most comfortable of the cars produced from 1985 until 1995 with an enhanced interior, a new steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and standard air conditioning.

The Ferrari 512M has become highly collectible due to several factors:

• A Modern Classic: The modern classic market (1980’s to early 2000’s) is outperforming all other collector car markets
• Limited numbers produced (1 of 501 examples worldwide). Numbered and limited series Ferraris are highly sought after by Ferrari collectors and have a stronger growth in value

The “M” in 512M stands for Modificata or modified

• Increased power at 440 BHP which is an Increase of 55 BHP over the early Testarossa (385 BHP) and 12 BHP over the 512 TR
• Redesigned bonnet with cooling ducts
• Widened lower section on front bumper

• Engine – 16 pounds lighter – New crankshaft & titanium connecting rods
• Lighter than TR – 40 pounds – 100 pounds lighter than Testarossa

• Simplified Pininfarina badge on rear fender

One of only 41 UK supplied Right hand drive examples (75 RHD examples worldwide) and delivered new in May 1995 in London by Maranello Sales Ltd in Egham Surrey.

Regularly serviced by Maranello Sales up to 1999 at which point the car moved to Monaco and three services are recorded at Monaco Motors between 2001 and 2005

This Ferrari 512M was imported to South Africa between 2005 and 2006 and maintained by Rosso Sport Auto in Kyalami Johannesburg

In 2022, Crossley & Webb sold this example to its current owner when a cambelt service was completed and new tyres fitted.

This example has benefited from an extensive exterior and interior detail, ceramic coating and Xpel paint protection film to the frontal area of the Ferrari
