The first series Alfa Romeo spiders were launched at the 36th Geneva Motor Show in 1966 and came with the round tail design and a 1576cc twin-cam engine producing 92bhp. The second generation was produced from 1970 to 1982 with the round tail redesigned by Pininfarina to the distinctive “Kamm” tail which improved luggage space. Other styling changes include improved interior trim, revised grille, newer door handles and a windscreen with increased rake angle.

Factors that make the Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce a great driver’s car:

  • A raspy1962cc 4-Cylinder Twin Cam engine producing 132 hp powering the rear wheels.
  • 5-speed manual all synchro gearbox.
  • Coil springs and telescoping shock absorbers used for suspension setup for optimal handling performance.
  • Four-wheel disc brakes installed for best possible braking performance.
