Abarth, now known as the performance brand of Fiat, has a rich racing heritage and was founded by Austian born Karl “Carlo” Abarth, an ex-European Motorcycling champion in 1949. Abarth’s logo is a Scorpion on a yellow and red shield as Karl Abarth’s star sign was Scorpio. Abarth was known for producing aftermarket products for production cars and performance exhaust systems in particular but also developed his own race and performance cars. Abarth cars were known for high performance and power while being small and agile. Notable cars include the Fiat based Abarth 750 Zagato, the Fiat 500 Abarth, the Fiat Abarth 595 and the Fiat 600 based Abarth 850 TC’s. In 1971 Abarth and Fiat merged and Abarth became the racing department of Fiat preparing the iconic World Championship winning Fiat 131 rally cars
This car is a custom-built Fiat 595 SS Corsa tribute based on a 1957 Fiat 500 but with the drivetrain from the 1968 Fiat 850 (engine mounted longitudinally). The result is a total transformation of the Fiat 500 into a fun to drive 100 mile per hour performance car powered by a crisp raspy 4-cylinder engine which revs sweetly to 7000rpm.
This is an opportunity to purchase a unique Abarth inspired custom performance car which cannot be built again for this asking price
