The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was Ferrari’s flagship model produced between 2007 and 2012. It was the latest in a historic line of Ferrari V12 Gran Turismo Berlinettas such as the Ferrari 250, 275, Daytona and 550 Maranello.
Breaking down the full name of the 599 GTB Fiorano, 599 refers to 10% of the 5999cc engine displacement, GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta and Fiorano is Ferrari’s test track in Maranello. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was the most powerful production Ferrari ever at the time with Ferrari Enzo Supercar derived engine and aero optimized bodywork. The 5999cc V12 engine is a work of art and was one of few to produce more than 100 BHP per litre without forced induction. The 8400 rpm redline is one of the highest rev limits for a car with a 6.0l engine displacement with ultra smooth delivery of 620 BHP.
The HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) package was designed to improve the car's handling, it includes a modified set-up with stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar, tuned electronic systems, a faster gearbox, and new engine software to provide improved response. With the HGTE package, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano laps Fiorano 0.6 seconds faster.
Delivered new by Viglietti Motors in October 2007, Ferrari’s 60th anniversary year, and has covered 41 404km since (average of 2565km per year). This example is well specced with Rosso Corsa exterior and Black leather interior with Full electric carbon fibre Daytona seats with red inserts
Desirable options include:
The HGTE package was retrofitted to this car (as all other examples in South Africa were apart from one factory built HGTE example) and provided sharper handling, faster gearchanges, instant throttle response plus a deeper exhaust note.
This example has a full-service history with the original service books and leather pouch with the car. A 190-point check was done prior to listing for sale with no faults detected and a clutch wear of only 16%
