Launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1967, the Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 was the most luxurious Ferrari ever at the time. It featured standard equipment such as ZF power steering, air conditioning, electric windows plus a new self leveling pneumatic independent rear suspension system developed by Koni which provides impressive handling with a supple ride.
It is a beautiful car with a Pinninfarina design in the style of the limited edition 500 Superfast balanced by impressive performance. The 4.390l V12 engine with triple Weber carburetors produces 320 BHP at 6600 RPM and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes provide this four-seater GT car with confident stopping power.
This example is a left-hand drive car which was first registered in South Africa in 1971. It had an engine overhaul in 2019 plus the starter motor was rebuilt, new oil cooler installed, new front brake pipes fitted, and the radiator flushed and repaired
At the same time, a new set of Boranni wire wheels where fitted
This presents an entry point into 1960’s Ferrari V12 ownership at an affordable level. The 365 GT 2+2’s are sold regularly at most international auctions and this example has been priced realistically due to the good sample data available of recent sales for this liquid internationally valued asset.
