Introduced by James Bond in Casino Royale, the Aston Martin DBS replaced the Vanquish as the flagship Aston Martin in 2007
It is based on the Aston Martin DB9 and powered by the 6.0l V12 engine which produces 510 BHP with a choice of either the six speed manual or six speed automatic ZF gearboxes. The DBS uses the super stiff bonded aluminium VH platform with adjustable dampers and wider track resulting in an excellent ride. Huge 398mm carbon ceramic brake discs and 6 piston monobloc calipers provide impressive stopping power and in addition to the extensive use of carbon fibre for the bonnet, boot, front wings, splitter and rear diffuser assist with weight reduction.
The Aston Martin DBS is an accomplished GT, rather than a lightweight limited series special with its preferred environment being the open road rather than the track. With its balanced chassis and powerful engine, the DBS is a pleasure to drive.
This Aston Martin DBS is finished in the desirable Black exterior with Black leather and Alcantara inserts on the interior. It is in very good condition and has covered 48 000km over the past 14 years (average of 3428km per year). It has the smooth 6 speed ZF automatic gearbox which provides excellent ease of use and has a fresh set of Michelin tyres.
Selling for R 1 350 000, this Aston Martin DBS presents excellent value for money, especially as this is a car with the following highlights:
